WebSep 20, 2012 · When you re-paint the panel, dry spray the affected areas and let the paint flash about 10 minutes to ensure the fish eyes don't resurface. WE are attempting to get rid of the fish eye or at least most of the small holes with intent of respraying. In the 4th & 5th PIC's we sanded the area with 600 grit and got it down fairly smooth. The fish eyes are reduced to near flat/smooth near even with the red paint. WebRemove wet paint film with solvent, clean and refinish. Add the recommended fisheye eliminator and respray the affected area. If fisheyes appear in a basecoat, allow the color to flash then spray a mist coat over affected area.
