Graphics rasterization
WebFeb 5, 2016 · There are two main ways to rasterize a tile—the old way is to do it on the CPU and send it to the GPU as a texture; the newer way is to rasterize it using the GPU with OpenGL. Each method has its own advantages and disadvantages, and each method is best suited for certain kinds of web pages. WebRaster graphics are resolution dependent, meaning they cannot scale up to an arbitrary resolution without loss of apparent quality. This property contrasts with the capabilities of vector graphics, which easily scale up to the quality of the device rendering them.

Web2 days ago · Now, a new Cyberpunk 2077 update has hit the streets, featuring the technology preview of the Ray Tracing: Overdrive Mode, which enhances the game's already-amazing visuals with full ray tracing, otherwise known as path tracing. Full ray tracing accurately simulates light throughout an entire scene. WebLike all images in this chapter, it was rendered with a GPU-based global illumination algorithm that uses rasterization hardware for efficient ray casting. Figure 38-1 An Image Rendered with Global Illumination Accelerated by the GPU. Techniques for including these effects usually require ray tracing for high-quality results.
